experience: wine and cheese tasting

tonight, my professor treated the whole class to his friend's apartment for an evening of fine wine and cheese. and he went ALL OUT! [we were treated to six types of wine, running somewhere around 60-100 euros a bottle, and 100 euros worth of cheese!]

i'm not a wine drinker, but i did find it fascinating to listen to how each type of wine is made, where its made, the reasoning behind the shape of wine glasses and bottles, etc. i now certainly appreciate the science and processes behind fine wine-making.

after the first five wines, we got down to business: CHEEEEEEEEEEEEESE!!!

i always knew that i have a special love for cheese, but HOLY CRAP, NO ONE DOES CHEESE LIKE THE FRENCH!
